My initial feeling after watching this was that it was better than the previous Jurassic world. The only major issue was that again there was too much going on. The imminent volcanic eruption and the insistence of a pyroclastic eruption that would be not survivable especially Chris Pratt being engulfed essentially. Though I think the lava theme could have been more carefully considered and used in more surprising ways.
The ending certainly suggested a new set of adventures outside in the ‘real world’ and how we could cope with dinosaurs in an urban setting.
It was amusing to see the actor Toby Jones who I’ve recently been seeing in the Detectorists as the auctioneer.
