The Mummy review

mummy_ver3_xlg

This was not really as bad as the reviews made it out to be. Yes it was over the top and a bit corny at times and the humour may’ve been a bit flat at times but it still seemed pretty decent for what it was. I kind of appreciated the explanations along the way. The action sequences in the plane was pretty fun to watch.

Tom Cruise does a have a slightly different comedic timing that perhaps is not always appreciated.  Russell Crowe as Dr Jekyll seemed a sensible cast although his alternate Mr Hyde did not seem as much of transformation as expected, although perhaps this was intentional.

It was bemusing to see the Natural History Museum being partially destroyed though but again the choice of location really seemed appropriate.

Again the ending certainly suggests another ‘Dark Universe’ movie is to come.
