Terminator: Dark Fate

This was surprisingly quite good. Certainly the first 15-20 minutes was clever from the chilling recalling of the Sarah Connor end-of-world rant from Terminator 2  to the Spanish/mexican dialogue for most of the initial part certainly set the scene and humanity of the movie.

The initial tragic scene was extremely well composited to the extent that it did not suffer any noticeable uncanny valley effect.

The black oil style terminator seemed to be a allusion to the oil industry in many ways in it’s relentlessness and shaping shifting.

Overall it leant heavily on T2 and almost felt like a more relevant T3 in the franchise that the originally chronologically filmed 3rd terminator film.
